There was an error in converting standard length (SL) to total length (TL). We incorrectly added the average length of the caudal fin (TL minus SL) from sub-adult and adult C. hyalinus and C. personatus to the SL of recently settled C. hyalinus and C. personatus.
The conversion error was corrected by using species-specific linear regression models to predict TL from SL. For both species, the present study’s predicted TL range at settlement was compared to the TL range at maturity estimated in Cole & Robertson (1988). In the supplemental material, plots and model summaries for the species-specific linear regression models that predict TL from SL (Fig. S6) are provided.
