Appendix 1. Dermochelys coriacea. The track of turtle T2 overlaid on a sea surface height anomaly image from 4 September 2006. T2 resided for 66 d in an anticyclonic mesoscale feature (yellow area), with the turtle looping around in the same direction (clockwise).
